The Journal of Feminist Scholarship
This is a new journal we wanted to be sure and share with you: The Journal of Feminist Scholarship.
The journal is a new, twice-yearly, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published online and aimed at promoting feminist scholarship across the disciplines, as well as expanding the reach and definitions of feminist research. The journal may be found at: http://www.umassd.edu/jfs
We believe it is time to explore the state of feminist scholarship at the turn of the new century, and we see the endeavor as part of a larger question of where feminism itself is heading. Publishing the journal online means that we are able to offer open access to its contents to feminist scholars anywhere in the world where there is an internet connection. it also has an immediacy that allows us to publish articles on topics that are in the here and now and to significantly shorten the time lage from submission to publication for our contributors.
Submission guidelines and contact information may be found at: http://www.umassd.edu/jfs

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month | The Chillicothe Gazette | chillicothegazette.com
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month The Chillicothe Gazette chillicothegazette.com: "Child abuse is one of the greatest tragedies of our times. It doesn't have to be. We can prevent it by building communities that are committed to families and to the support and services they need to raise strong, healthy and successful children. That begins with awareness. Ross County agencies concerned with the prevention of child abuse in our community participate in a national tradition of observing April as Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month." Heartbeat...Tax Laws...Keep an eye on those Abortion Laws!
Ohio Heartbeat Bill
From The Columbus Examiner
Abortion Tax Issues?
From NPR
Abortion rights are in the news again...surprise, surprise. I think I'll let two of my bumper stickers speak for me this morning:
"How can you trust me with a child, if you can't trust me with a choice?"
AND
"Men who change diapers change the world."
Let's keep our eyes, ears, and minds open!
